libxpathselect-dev software package provides Select objects in an object tree using XPath queries - development files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libxpathselect-dev
libxpathselect-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libxpathselect-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libxpathselect-dev *
You will get with libxpathselect-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
